About

I tell stories about people who happen to play sports.

I was born and raised in Northeast Los Angeles. Some of my earliest memories in life revolve around sports — watching Shaq and Kobe lead the Lakers to a three-peat, the Dodgers land Manny Ramirez in a blockbuster trade that revived the franchise, and the Raiders’ 2002 Super Bowl run.

I also have a passion for human-first storytelling that gets to the heart of what sports does best: bring people together. Whether it’s Diana Taurasi’s swag inspiring the generation leading a revolution in WNBA and women’s sports at large, Rachaad White’s Division II teammates urging him to leave his scholarship behind to bet on himself at the JUCO level, Joel Peguero grinding in the Minor Leagues for 10 years before getting his shot at the Major Leagues, or the 1994 Northridge All-Star team reflecting on the 30th anniversary of their Little League World Series run in the aftermath of a devastating 6.4 earthquake, I believe sports, at its core, can represent the best of us.

I’m currently a Digital Content Fellow at MLB.com, where I’ve covered over 80 games this season, mainly with the Dodgers, Angels and Padres. My work has also been featured in the Los Angeles Times and ESPN.
